As a multimedia journalist and communications expert with over a decade of experience, I have witnessed firsthand the power of storytelling in creating social impact. Through my work as the Development Communications Manager for UNDP’s Merged Areas Governance Programme (MAGP), I have been able to use multimedia journalism to inform and inspire change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

One of the key focuses of MAGP is to support governance, peacebuilding, and livelihoods in the region. As part of my role, I work on securing media coverage for the initiatives undertaken by MAGP. This involves crafting impactful stories that highlight the challenges faced by the local communities and the progress being made to address them.

My background in human rights and convergence journalism has equipped me with the necessary skills to effectively report, edit, and produce multimedia content. I am proficient in using advanced equipment such as Sony cameras and editing software like Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. This allows me to create visually compelling stories that resonate with the audience.

Being multilingual has also been an asset in my work. I am fluent in English and Urdu, with conversational skills in Pashto and Spanish. This linguistic diversity enables me to connect with a wider range of audience and ensures that the stories reach those who need to hear them the most.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with major Pakistani news outlets and international organizations. This has not only helped me amplify the voices of marginalized communities but also strengthened my commitment to social justice.
